Village East
Rating: 4 out of 5
Stylish restaurant and bar which brings quality 'modern eclectic' cooking to SE1
The accessible and imaginative menu offers something for every palette and the cooking is hard to fault. Village East starters include seared scallops and caramelised pork belly, carrot purée, teriyaki glaze; mains include Chateaubriand (for 2) with green beans, chateau potatoes and béarnaise; desserts include a delicious crème brûlée.
Great cocktails with a chilled vibe.

Cafe Amisha
161 Grange Road.
Rating: 4 out of 5
Authentic Italian restaurant staffed by professionals that has a style and personality unique to Cafe Amisha
The classic Italian menu combined with exotic variations from the Caribbean and India where Chef Rolando has drawn influences from his extensive travels, on paper the amazing Amish Pizza should never work and yet it combines Pineapple, Cream base and curry powder to make a taste sensation that defies description, you have to try it to believe it. There is an extensive vegetarian menu too which offers a wide choice for all every palette and the cooking is hard to fault. Specials will occasionally include Lobster Pizza, Chef’s own Pasta master pieces, including Cannelloni and Pork Lasagne. The main meals are complemented by a range of starters and deserts that are all made on the premises to guarantee an Italian dining experience that is hard beat.
The Bar / Diner is boasts the most comfortable seating in any bar around, with magnificent bottled beers from Peroni , a terrific selection of wines and cocktails the bar is a perfect place to sit, chat and relax with friends.

Suchards
102 Tooley Street.
Rating: 3 out of 5
Fantatstic Thai restuarant with a vast menu. We loved the duck starter to share or one of the many starter platters which give you a good sample to begin with. Wash the food down with some strong thai beer and the service throughout is quick. Pricewise it won't break the bank!

Applebee's Fish
5 Stoney Street.
Rating: 3 out of 5
A great addition to the Borough eating scene. Applebee's combines good fish with charming service and keen prices. We dived into a fish platter, comprising appealing chunks of salmon, tuna and halibut, along with octopus, squid and prawns. To finish, chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce. Everything was delicious.

The Garrison
99 Bermondsey Street.
Rating: 4 out of 5
An intimate and buzzy place, where the staff are very friendly and helpful. Its's still being debated whether this is a restaurant or pub! Whilst the debating socities decide we give it a thumbs up to the great wines available. Would make a great spot for brunch with friends.

Tas
33 The Cut.
Rating: 2 out of 5
Tas blends intense flavours rather than risk blandness. This can occasionally lead them astray, but in general the inventiveness of the menu pays off. The restaurant was very busy on our visit which meant some delay in the arrival of the food.
